Sourceful Energy

Senior MLOps/Platform Engineer

Location: Kalmar, Sweden | Competitive salary Sourceful is building the Home Energy Layer – infrastructure connecting solar panels, EVs, batteries, and meters to make households sovereign energy nodes and enable a distributed, sustainable grid. As a Senior MLOps/Platform Engineer, you’ll design and operate the platform that delivers intelligence at scale: from real-time data pipelines and model serving to edge–cloud orchestration, experimentation frameworks, monitoring, and automated retraining. We’re looking for engineers with 5+ years in ML/data infrastructure, deep expertise in DevOps (Kubernetes, Docker, CI/CD), real-time processing (Kafka, Spark or similar), and cloud-native systems (AWS/GCP/Azure). You know how to build for scale and reliability, thrive in Linux environments, and accelerate developer velocity. Experience with time series databases, IoT protocols, or distributed systems is a strong plus.

At Sourceful, we’re not building another energy app – we’re creating the Home Energy Layer, the infrastructure that connects solar panels, batteries, EVs, and meters. By turning households into sovereign energy nodes, we’re enabling a bottom-up energy transition and building the missing link between millions of homes and a sustainable, resilient grid.

As a Senior MLOps/Platform Engineer, you’ll be at the core of this mission. Every model update, pipeline optimization, and infrastructure decision directly impacts how efficiently thousands of households consume, store, and share energy. Your job is to build the platform that makes intelligence flow seamlessly from edge devices to the cloud – enabling models to move from idea to production in hours, not weeks.

You’ll design and deploy:

ML Platform from Scratch – the full MLOps stack, from ingestion to serving.

Real-time Data Pipelines – handling millions of signals from meters, inverters, weather APIs, and markets.

Experimentation Frameworks – A/B testing for rapid algorithm improvement.

Edge–Cloud Orchestration – bridging local household intelligence with central coordination.

Developer Velocity Tools – empowering engineers to iterate faster.

Monitoring & Reliability – observability, drift detection, and automated retraining.

We seek engineers with 5+ years building ML/data infrastructure, strong DevOps skills (Kubernetes, Docker, CI/CD), and experience in large-scale data systems (Kafka, Spark, or similar). You’re cloud-native (AWS/GCP/Azure), fluent in Linux, and comfortable architecting systems for scale and reliability. Bonus points for experience with time series databases, IoT protocols, or distributed systems.

This is an on-site role in Kalmar – because we believe breakthroughs happen when brilliant minds work side by side. In return, we offer competitive pay, meaningful equity, and the opportunity to directly accelerate the renewable energy transition with a world-class engineering team.
