The installation industry is facing a clear challenge: future productivity.
What we actually achieve during a working day does not reflect the full potential of our workforce. The consequences? Lower profitability for companies, increased risk of foreign competition, and weaker wage growth for employees.
In the Stockholm area, it’s most common for installation electricians to be paid a monthly salary – that is, time-based pay.
The company pays for the employee’s time, and the electrician does their best during a 40-hour workweek.
But does this really lead to higher productivity? Are there better alternatives?
And if so, what would it require from both company leaders and installation electricians to create a more productive work environment?
These are some of the questions I’ll be addressing during the seminar.
