KNIPEX Founded in 1882 by Carl Gustav Putsch, and since then become a world-leading manufacturer of pliers.
With 1,900 employees in German Wuppertal and 55,000 m² of production area, we produce 17 million pliers per year (± 67,000 pliers each day).

KNIPEX 16 50 145 SB, Stripping Knife with guide shoe and ratchet function. Easy cutting even for a variety of cable sheaths. Versatile blade with three cutting areas for round and lengthwise cuts. Guide shoe protects the conductor insulation under the cable sheath. Cuts very hard or tough plastic sheaths up to 7 mm wall thickness. Sickle-shaped, replaceable hook blade can be folded for safe transport. Blade with four positions: folded, straight, angled and ratcheting. Three-stage blade lock for safe handling and transport. Ergonomically designed, comfortable handle. Integrated tether attachment point for use with KNIPEX Tethered Tool System.
The new KNIPEX StepCut® XL: cuts cables and working hours
KNIPEX StepCut® XL 95 11 225, Cable shears with step cut. High-leverage joint, long handles and optimized cutting edges: noticeably easier cutting than with compact cable shears. Large cutting capacity: cuts solid copper or aluminum cables up to 35 mm², stranded cables up to 70 mm²and fine stranded cables up to 120 mm². Dual cutting areas: Stepped cutting edge holds small and larger cables close to the joint during the cut; the front cutting-edge cuts very large cables step by step. Easy one- or two-handed operation with minimum handle opening for large cable diameters. Adjustable, high leverage bolted joint provides precise and smooth cutting. Slim head for easier accessibility. Pinch guard prevents operators' fingers being pinched. Not suitable for steel-reinforced cables, e.g. ACSR. Cutting edges additionally laser-hardened, cutting-edge hardness approx. 56 HRC.

KNIPEX 97 43 66 EVO, Crimp System Pliers for exchangeable crimping dies. Only one tool for almost 1000 crimping applications: usable with all crimping dies and locators 97 49 XX. Specially modified system pliers: optimized for MC4EVO 2 connectors up to 10 mm². Professional standard for large photovoltaic installations. Almost parallel crimping motion. Consistently high crimping quality due to precision dies and ratchet mechanism (unlockable). Crimping pressure has been set precisely (calibrated) in the factory and can be adjusted. Force magnified by lever action to ensure fatigue-free working. For one- and two-handed operation. The 97 43 66 EVO includes a locator for precise positioning of MC4 EVO 2. An additional locator is available for all MC4 series solar connectors (97 49 71 1). Crimping dies for applications that go beyond the range offered are available on request.

KNIPEX PreciStrip16® 12 52 195, Automatic insulation stripper. Simple, precise stripping of fine wires and solid round cables with a wide capacity range from 0.08 to 16 mm² with only one pair of pliers. Good grip provided by semi-circular grooved metal holding clamps, exact cut thanks to parabolic stripping blade. An automatism regulates the depth of the cut; the neutral point of the automatism can be adjusted in fine steps in special operating conditions (insulation material, temperature). Additionally available: Blade block (12 49 32) for very hard halogen-free cables from 4 - 16 mm². With adjustable length stop for precision work repeated accurately each time.
