Calibration
The need for calibration is usually based on a company’s quality objectives. Production quality systems and customer agreements require traceability of measurements, and any measurements that affect the quality of the final product must be verified. This is ensured through calibration, either at SGS calibration laboratory or on the customer’s premises.
By using calibrated and sufficiently accurate measuring instruments, companies gain better control over their production processes. An effective calibration system enables analysis of measurement equipment performance, supports the achievement of quality targets, and helps keep costs under control. Regular calibrations ensure that instruments maintain the required accuracy and that any deviations remain within agreed limits.
SGS experts assist in identifying which instruments need calibration and in scheduling calibrations to align with the customer’s production activities.
