Description

Proximity sensors or microwave sensors (HF = High Frequency) use the Doppler effect by detecting movements extremely effectively. Microwave sensors work regardless of climate and through non-metallic materials such as plastics, glass, plaster and wood.

The sensors can be built into new luminaires and can also supplement existing lighting systems. The latter are built into the ceiling or into a special enclosure. Microwave sensors are mainly used to control lighting but can also be used in other connections where you want to detect motion, e.g. for ventilation or surveillance. The sensors are triggered by motion and then switch on the light or equipment, which is then switched off after a preset time interval. The sensors can have a built-in daylight sensor with adjustable light sensitivity.
