Power outages are a frequent and costly challenge at Tican. Every day, the power goes out in at least one place, and due to the harsh environment of the slaughterhouse, the marking rarely provides much help. It often takes 10-20 minutes to restore power, which can cost up to 10,000 dkk per minute.

“We have spent a lot of money on our physical marking, but it doesn’t help. Every evening, our facilities are meticulously washed down, and you can imagine how that affects the marking.
