Safety that breathes security
On January 1, 2025, the Swedish Work Environment Authority’s precise rules on fit tests for close-fitting respiratory protection came into effect. This means that employees’ respiratory protection must be individually tested and that close-fitting respiratory protection must undergo a fit test.
The precise rules on fitting close-fitting respiratory protection have been developed to ensure that the respiratory protection fits tightly against the face. The aim is to prevent the user from getting sick, getting injured or dying from inhaling hazardous particles and substances.
We make it easy to follow the new rules
To facilitate the transition, we offer a new service that makes it easy for employers to meet the new requirements. The service means that we have trained and certified employees who can perform fit tests according to a standardized method, both on site at your location and in selected Ahlsell stores.
We offer a nationwide solution where fit tests are performed using a quantitative testing method (CNP).
The goal is to be able to help our customers find a tight-fitting respirator that is right for them. All faces are different and respirators come in different models and sizes. Unfortunately, there is no respirator that fits everyone, as the fit is individual and unique to each user.
